Velocity is a Tokyo-based DJ and producer who focuses on drum and bass music.
In February 2003, he participated in the founding of 7NiNE Productions, a group consisting of DJs, designers and VJs.
In the same year, with the launch of the monthly drum and bass party ZERO, he became a resident DJ at Shibuya Womb.
In 2008, he skillfully used CDJs, mixers, and effects to come in second place at the first CNS (CDJ New Style) Battle tournament hosted by Pioneer.
He proved himself to be one of the best in Japan, and later joined Human Elements, a group run by Makoto, to expand his range of activities.
His original tracks have been played by DJs such as DJ Marky, Bryan Gee, Fabio, London Elektricity, Makoto, Lenzman and even Friction on BBC Radio 1, and he has received support from DJs all over the world. He has released Velocity &Key MC – Ladder on HE:Digital.
In the winter of 2011, he released his first four-song Concentration EP on the same label, which attracted a lot of attention.
In 2014, he made his UK debut playing at the British drum and bass party innerSoul @ Plan B.
In 2016, Velocity – Jelly Break reached number one on Juno Records' vinyl sales chart. In the same year, he released the Night Owl EP on HumanElements and Satl &Velocity – Set It Out on Fokuz Recordings, which was also selected as one of Drum&Bass Arena's best compilations of the year.
In 2019, he released "We Gotcha Junglist" and "Hide & Seek," collaborations with MC Fats, on the prestigious Liquid V label. These hit the Top 5 on beatport's drum and bass singles chart, garnering significant attention. He also released "Velocity - Untitled Roller" and "PaulSG - Cosmic Jam (Velocity Remix)" on Paul SG's Jazzsticks, as well as a collaborative track with up-and-coming Japanese artist fetus on MC GQ's Justnoyze label.
His Bird Theme, released on Sheer Velocity Records in 2025, has been played by numerous DJs. In addition, he has been regularly posting DJ Mixes on his YouTube channel since 2025, which has been gaining attention.

Since 2009, she has been producing fashionable events such as ANNA DiA by spice!, a fusion of club and show at club Asia.
In 2010, in order to spread dubstep in the Kanto region, he launched the new Dubstep/Drum & Bass only label DiVANG TUNE, which is now in its 12th year.
Also, since the same year, he has been a regular performer at Goth-Trad's Back To Chill event.
He has organized the floor and performed regularly at block FM's official party [block party] led by ☆Taku Takahashi, and DRY & HEAVY presents [IN TIME], and has also worked as an in-store DJ for apparel companies such as Maniac Beach, RALPH LAUREN, A|X, and TOPSHOP, and opened at Shibuya Hikarie, and has also performed at events in Russia, London, the Philippines, and Singapore.
In 2016, she participated in ROAD TO OUTLOOK for the first time and advanced to the semi-finals with the highest number of votes ever, becoming the first female DJ to win the finals.
They also performed as the main opening act at the launch party of OUTLOOK, the world's largest bass party, held in Croatia, [OUTLOOK JP 2016 LAUNCHI PARTY].
In recent years, he has been active in a wide range of fields, including DJing at Japanese landmarks such as Tokyo Tower and Shibuya Stream, performing as a resident at Dogenzaka Church, and live streaming.
I just returned from a month and a half in Saudi Arabia where I DJed every day.
