Born in Amami Oshima, Kagoshima Prefecture. A singer whose roots lie in Amami folk songs and island songs.
She debuted in January 2009 with "Aitsumugi." She sang the theme song for the historical drama "Saigo-don" and the historical travelogue, as well as "Reflection," the Japanese theme song for the live-action Disney film "Mulan." She achieved 10 wins on TV Tokyo's "THE Karaoke★Battle." She has also appeared on Fuji TV's "Chidori no Oni Renchan," which has garnered attention.
