A sister unit consisting of Momo (vocals/younger sister born in the Heisei era) and Koharu (accordion/older sister born in the Showa era).
The band was formed in 2009 by an older sister who was a street performer and a younger sister who was just a high school student.
Made major debut with Avex in 2014.
With a base of Balkan music, chanson and more, the band's international sound incorporates music from all genres, and a unique circus-like worldview, they are expanding the scope of their activities not only in Japan but also overseas.
チャラン・ポ・ランタンとしての活動のほか映画やドラマ、舞台への楽曲提供演技・CM・声優・イラスト・執筆動画編集など活動の範囲は多岐に渡る。
2016年に発売の配信シングル「進め、たまに逃げても」がTBSドラマ「逃げるは恥だが役に立つ」のオープニングテーマに起用され、大きな反響を呼ぶ。
2019年7月17日にはメジャーベストアルバム「いい過去どり」を発売。
2020年に入り、5月27日発売の配信シングル「空が晴れたら」を皮切りに【8週連続宅録配信シングルリリース】を敢行。
On October 28, 2020, the album "Komori Uta" was released.
Independent since September 2021.
On September 18th, Koharu produced an affordable button accordion.
Pre-orders for "Bébé Medusa" begin, selling 531 button accordions in one night.
自分たちで会社を経営しながら、自分たちの世界を今後も大きくしてゆく予定。。
